Apologies for not updating sooner. It has been one of those weeks were other parts of my life have taken over. The parts that fund my etsy hobby. Speaking of etsy, this week's finds:
Shoes -
If only I had an occasion for this -
The one that got away -
*sigh*, I had so many images of prancing about in the rain with such a pretty umbrella. It would give a lift to the wettest crappiest weather.

Trigger Happy
Topshop have plugged into an awesome idea - a perfect marriage between art and fashion.
By installing a "Helmut Newton Photo Machine" in their Oxford Circus store, allowing shoppers to play with a selection of clothes and accessories and then unleashing them for their own photoshoot, punters apply their own individual stamp to the topshop range and bring about a pure(r) visual expression by virtue of a closer link between the subject and the camera.
A pretty easy setup to replicate at home too methinks.

Today's Inspiration: Velvety Silk
I've been meaning to post these pictures up for a while. Pictures from one of my favourite illustrators when I was a young 'un. I love the rich velvety hues and adventurous use of colour.
I shall be pinching the idea of large white collars and frills, and perhaps the head scarves for a slightly gypsy take on these vibrant colours.
These illustrations remind me of Jayson Brunsdon's designs, particularly his SS07/08 collection which takes a modern cleancut approach:
